Abstract: modern section and wire rod mills of the new generation have got systems for monitoring technological parameters and managing product quality in off-line mode. In order to implement mathematical models of roll pass design and setting up mills on new technological objects, the next result was obtained: developted a digital form of representation of the main technological data such as calibers, rolling modes, equipment parameters and implemented this data in the section rolling production. Based on the developed databases, the regularities of the rolling and adjustment processes for a wide range of profiles in the 450, 370 and 170 mill of OJSC MMK are determined and systematized.
