  • V.Y.Rubtsov, A.S.Krasulin, A.A.Serebrennikov. INCREASING STIFFNESS OF ROLLING MILLS STANDS BY USING WEDGE FIXATION DEVICE.
    Abstract. Device that provides self-fixation of open type rolling mills wedges of obsolete design, using element of spinal beam is proposed. This design increases rigidity parameters of rolling mills, excluding spontaneous wedges weakening. Manufacture and installation this construction on rolling mills does not require significant costs.

    Abstract. The article presents an automatic optimization system of reversing mill pace. This system allows increasing productivity at low capital cost. A model of this system and transient processes graphs are presented.

  • M.I.Rumyantsev, A.N.Zavalishchin. TECHNOLOGIES OF PRODUCE OF FLAT ROLLED PRODUCT AND SOME ASPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE METHODOLOGY OF THEIR ENGINEERING.
    Abstract. It is shown that with the limited number of technological operations can be implemented a large number of variants of technologies that differ from each other, at least by the realization method of some technological operation. It has been revealed that the project engineering of objects of flat rolling product technologies can be separate technological operations or their elements (transitions), system of technological operations, and modes of implementation of one or more operations. The main aspects of the methodology for creating and improving flat rolling product technologies are substantiated, which reduces the time it takes to find effective solutions while ensuring a satisfactory high level of reliability and validity.

    OF CROSS-HELICAL ROLLING PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF STEEL GRINDING BALLS AND AXISYMMETRIC PARTS.
    Abstract. Тhe review of studies in the field of helical rolling is carried out, both in balls production and in the axisymmetric shapes periodic profiles production. The historical development of the processes of cross-helical rolling of periodic profiles from their beginning to the present day is given. Significant attention is paid to modern foreign developments of Chinese and Polish scientists, who, using programs for modeling processes of both cross-helical rolling and cross-wedge rolling and flat-wedge rolling, conducted a detailed study of these processes and offered their own solutions. The brief review of the articles and the results analysis are presented.
