SECTION ROLLING PRODUCTION

MANUFACTURING OF TYPE LARSEN SHEET PILING UNDER CONDITIONS OF RAIL AND BEAM ROLLING SHOP EVRAZ-NTMK JSC

V.V. Tjuterev, V.Y. Rubtsov
Abstract. Type Larsen sheet piling is currently being produced at EVRAZ-NTMK JSC in conditions of wide-shelf beam rolling shop. Rolling of 12 passes in 9 roll calibres is accompanied by intense compression, stress and increased rolls wear. At designed rail and beam rolling mill of EVRAZ-NTMK JSC, it is possible to use 17 passes in order to reduce load and increase rolling rolls life.

SIMULATION OF ROLLING PROCESS OF Z-SHAPED ASYMMETRIC PROFILE

V.V. Kurochkin, V.Y. Rubtsov, P.A. Alypov
Abstract. The rolling process of Z-shaped asymmetric profile is presented on example of spine beam profile of railway carriages is simulation. Based on simulation results, a high polarity created from rolls was revealed, which leads to increased strip twisting. According results obtained, roll pass redesign with reductions redistribution was carried out. As result, there is a decrease in different polarity when modeling process using a modified roll pass design. Experimental rolling showed a positive result with decrease in strip twisting and maintaining required profile geometry.

Abstract. Ball-rolling roll with continuously variable pitch model was corrected, with helped 3-d scanner from ball-rollingroll with stepped pitch model, which was made on lathe is provides. The results of rolling process with used original and correctional dual rolls, with used second order curves in pitch are provides improve for reduction loads and load disturbs.

RESEARCH OF THE DRAWING PROCESS IN A MONOLITHIC WIRE OF A TRAPEZOIDAL PROFILE

O.S. Zhelezkov, S.B. Lizov, B.S. Adamchuk
Abstract. Theoretical and experimental research of the drawing process in a monolithic wire of a trapezoidal profile from a round-section billet were performed. The process of forming a trapezoidal profile №10 according to GOST 11850-72 from steel of the 40С2А brand from the initial billet with a diameter of 11-13 mm was considered. The computer simulation of the drawing process used the finite element method based on the software package «Deform-3D». The parameters of the stress-strain state and energy-power parameters are determined. Graphs of the dependence of the drawing force on the movement of the pulling clamp are constructed. A series of experiments were carried out using a monolithic solid-alloy lug and a universal testing machine of the EDC-20 model. The maximum effort was determined at the established stage of the drawing process. The discrepancy between theoretical results and experimental data is less than 10%. It was found that when using the initial blank with a diameter of 11 mm or less, the radius of rounding the corners of the trapezoid profile exceeds the values regulated by the standard.
